I sold stihl and husqvarna side by side for 30 years. Believe me one is just as good as the other. Stihl does make their own chain and it is the best chain in the industry. Husqvarna buys Oregon chain for their saws.. its good chain so no apologies needed. My personal favorite is Husqvarna. Mainly because husqvarna Has superior dealer relations. They take care of their dealers . Good people to work with. Sometimes Stihl failed to return phone calls.

The FS38 now comes with the newer head. I prefer the manual choke but really it was price that pushed me towards the 38.

When you fitted the brush blade, you should have removed the black part from the shield.

i have the fs111 with the bike handles for about 5 yrs now .. awesome and efficient as a whipper snipper around the yard .. put a blade on it and it becomes a hungry animal .. i absolutely love it

I bought the HRX because it can mow lower than the HRN. That's important with Bermuda grass.

Great video. What is the estimated life expectancy of a 4 mix engine. I know a lot of factors come into play. The estimated life expectancy for a small air cooled gas engine is about 3,000 hours. Would it be similar to this? Thanks.

Thank you for making the video. I was going to get a 131 but, after visiting my dealer and using a 91 I realized that for my usage around my house and cutting a fence line, a 91 was more than enough power. I did get a brush cutting blade and some extra string trimmer heads. So I can be ready to go. Thank you for explaining the difference in the 3 trimmers.

I was gonna go with 131R, but read many reviews about being too much for the job. So, I settled on 111R after watching your video. Thank you so much.

So i guess i bought the older blade kit last week because it came with the two piece was washer and hub. No big deal there. What's really odd tho is that it came with a much smaller guard that what was already on it for the string trimmer. The pre installed one on mine looks exactly like the pre installed one in the video. The one in the kit is a lot smaller in diameter and much closer to the blade as well. If it was installed you would surely want to switch back when using the string because with the blade guard you'd only be able to use 2 to 3 inches of string

You cannot find Honda HRN216VYA with blade stop anymore. Only HRN without blade stop. Glad I bought mine when I did.

I would imagine the push version would have a longer battery life since it's not using energy to move it.
